(Dec. 04, 2006 - Brick, NJ) At its 2006 annual sales meeting, MarineEast recognized two sales reps for their above-and-beyond efforts. Pat O'Rourke of Ozark Marine was named Sales Representative of the Year and received MarineEast's gold coin award. Greg Hardison of Love & Associates was recognized for the most new product sales, and was delighted to take possession of a mini-safe filled with cash.

Ads available to non-NMMA boat show producers for first time
(Nov. 28, 2006 - Chicago, IL) The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) today unveiled its 2007 boat show advertising on the NMMA website and announced it will make the ads available to non-NMMA boat show producers for the first time in history.

(Nov. 27, 2006 - Missoula, MT) Doris Matheny of Greensburg, Pa. has been named the 2006 recipient of the Jackie Pfeiffer Memorial Award, presented by the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA).

Record number receive CSI honors during IBEX Industry Awards Breakfast
(Nov. 03, 2006 - Miami, FL) Fifty-six boat and engine manufacturers were recognized at the 2006 International BoatBuilders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) in Miami Beach Friday morning for excellence in customer satisfaction by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), as part of the association's Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) program. The awards were presented during the annual IBEX Industry Breakfast on November 3 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Association asks USDA to rescind order banning shipments
(Nov. 03, 2006 - Alexandria, VA) The American Sportfishing Association (ASA) opposes the recent ban on interstate shipments of several species of live fish from the Great Lakes. In an October 24, 2006, letter to the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Administrator, ASA asked that the ban be rescinded.

(Nov. 03, 2006 - Miami, FL) The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) will honor George Bellwoar, vice president of sales and marketing for Miami-based Perko Inc., with the 2006 Alan J. Freedman Memorial Leadership Award. Bellwoar received the award at the IBEX Industry Breakfast on Friday, November 3, at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Cruising, travel and history writer earns $5,000 award; 4 others honored

Lauderdale, FL) Paul Clancy, a freelance writer of cruising and travel articles, history book author and former newspaper staffer, has won the top award Boating Writer's International gives to a boating writer -- The West Marine Writer's Award. Clancy, of Norfolk, VA, accepted a $5,000 check and lucite tower trophy at a formal presentation during the BWI membership meeting at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show today.

Court Orders Gamber-Johnson to Discontinue Sales
(Oct. 05, 2006 - Seattle, WA) National Products, Inc. announced that a federal court yesterday ordered Gamber-Johnson, LLC to cease and desist from selling its VersaTrue line of mounting products. The order came as part of a settlement of a patent infringement lawsuit brought by NPI. Gamber-Johnson cannot appeal the order.

(Oct. 03, 2006 - Radolfzell, Germany) BRP's Evinrude® E-TECTM direct injection two-stroke outboard engines have received approval for operation on Lake Constance (Bodensee). NMMA organizing task force to address issue at EPA's request
