Companies receive Innovation Awards during annual Miami Media Breakfast
(Feb. 14, 2008 - Miami, FL) Nine marine manufacturers were honored this morning for innovative achievement by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and Boating Writers International (BWI) at the 67th Annual Miami International Boat Show. Winning companies received their 2008 Miami Innovation Awards during the Miami Media Breakfast, held Thursday, February 14 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.


(Feb. 14, 2008 - Miami, FL) Yamaha has been ranked "Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Four-Stroke Outboard Engines" in the J.D. Power and Associates 2008 Marine Engine Competitive Information Study(SM). This is the fifth time Yamaha has been recognized in J.D. Power and Associates studies, and the announcement comes on the heels of Yamaha's winning its sixth consecutive Customer Satisfaction Index (C.S.I.) from the National Marine Manufacturing Association (NMMA(R)) last fall.

Final rule should not impact recreational marine industry
(Jan. 11, 2008 - CHICAGO, IL) On January 9, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized a rule to regulate Area Source Emission Standards for paint stripping and surface coating that was significantly revised based on comments submitted by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) on behalf of the recreational marine industry.

First NMBA Associate Member elected to Board of Directors

Industry focuses on key issues of access and participation

NMMA working closely with USCG to evaluate new safety measures

Boat, engine manufacturer CSI award recipients honored during Industry Breakfast
