The sixth tournament for Arkansas’s Couples opened with sunny conditions with temperatures in the 70’s. The 17 couples caught 72 fish weighing 103.86 lbs with 13/5 fish limits.
First Steve and Malinda Powell who used watermelon Candy brush hogs to weigh 5 bass at 10.80 lbs to win the tournament and earn $715
Second were Will and Roberta Cranston, they also used brush hogs to weigh 10.39 lbs and earn $350. They also won there 5th Angler’s of the year title in Arkansas Couples.
Third were Lloyd and Chris Tubbs. They used a Zoom Speed Craw to catch 9.52 lbs and earn them $250 for their efforts.
A 3.88lb Lunker was caught by Michael and Tonya Johnson on a watermelon magic brush hog earning them $170
The championship for Arkansas Couples tournament will be October 9-10 at Lake Ouachita out of Crystal Springs Resort.
