The Launch Event for the Cherokee Neches Paddling Trail scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2015, has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2015. The recent rains have created an unsafe situation for paddling on this section of the Neches River. The county roads going to the Event location at Neches River Run Park have been closed.
The rescheduled Launch Event is May 30 and will begin at 11:00 am at the put-in launch for the Cherokee Neches Paddling Trail at Neches River Run Park, 2001 CR 3315, Jacksonville, Texas.
Following the dedication and lunch, any who wish may paddle the new Paddling Trail
