Open Team Splash® Program Revamped for 2005

Sealy Outdoors, Inc. has announced that its Open Team Splash® series of bass tournaments has been revamped for the 2005 season and will now consist of two, two-day, three-way payback tournaments to be called Super Team Splash® events. Dates for the two all-new events are February 5th and 6th, and October 15th and 16th, and each will be held with one day of competition on each of two lakes in East Texas, Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend.

The format of the Super Team Splash® will feature a guaranteed payback of more than $50,000 in CASH at each event. At the end of Day 1 for each tournament, the top twenty places will receive their share of $16,250. Day 2 will switch to the alternate lake and another $16,250 will be paid back to the top twenty places for that days weight. Teams with combined weights (Days 1 and 2 combined) placing in the Top Five Overall, will split another $16,250 at the close of the event. Additionally, there will be $1,000 paid daily for the three single largest fish weighed in for the Big Bass contest. Entry fees for these Super Team Splash® events will be $300 per team including the Big Bass contest.

Sealy Outdoors, Inc. has been a leader in the field of fishing tournaments since 1983. Founder Bob Sealy created and continues to produce the McDonalds® Big Bass Splash® events in Texas and Louisiana annually, on Lake Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend Reservoir, and Lake Fork, and has added Lake Cumberland, KY to the schedule for the 2005 season. In July the Big Catfish Splash® was introduced and will return to Lake Fork again next summer bringing cash and prize awards to even more amateur anglers. The Open Team Splash® events pioneered the all cash payback format for team anglers when that series was introduced in 1997.

Once again, Sealy Outdoors, Inc. is setting the benchmark for team events with the all-new Super Team Splash® events. For complete entry/venue information, call 888-698-2591By: Robin Johnston
