NEW 2014 MITCHELL 300 PRO SPINNING REEL

Enriching the Tradition of the Mitchell Name

The Mitchell name is legendary and for most anglers, the first spinning reel was a hand-down Mitchell 300 that had seen plenty of miles of fishing and still had plenty of miles still to go. The sport today still has the aura of the family outing. The new 300 Pro merges the tradition of the old with the materials, features and design of today, giving the angler a more comfortable, dependable spinning reel.

High-performance features are the standard for the 300 Pro. The advanced polymeric body is extremely strong. And the innovative Bail Halo adds strength to the rotor to insure perfect line lay under heavy loads and acts as a guard to prevent line from getting under the spool. The smooth hybrid carbon fiber drag can handle oversized fish without overheating. The aluminum spool add to the reels durability. The strong double anodized aluminum handle is finished with an EVA non-slip grip.

The reel operates on ten bearings for smooth cranking with an instant Anti-Reverse for ultimate control. The Mitchell 300 Pro has a 5.8:1 gear ratio with 33 inches of line put on the spool with each revolution of the handle. The smaller. Mitchell 308 Pro also has a 5.8:1 gear ratio spooling over 30 inches per handle revolution and the Mitchell 310 Pro will spool over 20 inches of line with its 5.2:1 gear ratio.

The line capacity of the 300 Pro is 180 yards of 12-pound monofilament or 210 yards of 14-pound braid. The 308 Pro can hold 130 yards of 8-pound monofilament or 190 yards of 8-pound braid. The 310 Pro can be spooled with 100 yards of 4-pound monofilament or 110 yards of 6-pound braid.
