Anglers Quest 2005 Twin Lake Saturday Series #3 on Lake Livingston out of KickApoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 54 teamed anglers showing up to fish for the GUARANTEED $1000.00 to the winner. The event began at safe light, which was 6:55 am. Weigh in was conducted at 3:15 pm.

<"FLASH BULLETIN"> Beginning February 13, all Saturday Series, Super Team and Pro Am events will again be trailering events as were done in 2004.

This Saturday Series after all 20 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2006 Saturday Series events. The Top 25 teams will go to the Saturday Series Championship in November on Lake Livingston. A special Top 5 group of teams will go to the all-new “Tournament of Champions” also to be held in November on Martin Creek Reservoir. All A/Q Championships include Calcutta auctions which builds the Championship purse to some very nice $$ to fish for, for a very small entry fee of $100.00 per team.

Lake Livingston water was a bit off color and about 6″ above normal pool level due to the recent rains, with water temps running 46-52 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 41 degrees with a warming to 58 degrees by weigh in time. The fishing was very very slow on Livingston today as only 3 limits were brought to the scales for a total of 44 bass at 114.44 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.60 lb.

Jeff Jackowski and Steve Cross from Spring, Tx, ran Jeff’s Cobra/Mercury bass rig to north and south lake creek mouth areas to catch their limit of 5 bass flipping blk/blu jigs to 3-4 ft reeds & brush to end up with a very nice bag of bass @ 17.30 lbs to finish in 1st place and collect the GUARANTEED $1000.00 plus an additional $189.00 for having the 1st big bass of the day, a fine 5.17 lber.

Albert Orgeron Jr from Onalaska, Tx & Ben Cockrell from Livingston, Tx ran their bass rig to unknown areas to finish in 2nd with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 16.38 lbs, one of their bass was the 2nd big bass of the day, a fine 4.89 lber which made them $466.00 for their day on the water fishing.

Greg Crawford & Jesse Johnson from Huffman, Tx finished in 3rd place today fishing the north river area out of Greg’s Champion/Mercury and bringing 5 bass to the scales that weighed 13.43 lbs, all caught on blk/blu jigs and spinner baits, they took home $275.00 for their day on the water.

Cullen Vailes & Shane Moffet from Livingston, Tx finished in the 1st out of the money spot with 3 bass that tipped the scales at 8.58 lbs. Cullen & Shane graciously accepted the 2 gift certificates given to them from Kickapoo Bait & Tackle.
