What started out as a hot morning just got hotter as the day went on – but, it sure wasn’t the fishing! After all the negative fishing reports about Ray Roberts, the club voted to change the location of our September tournament to Lake Holbrook, close to Mineola. As it turned out, the fishing wasn’t much better there either.
We have a saying that we repeat often, “when it’s your day, it’s your day!” And, it was definitely Jan Bruner’s day. She not only caught a limit for a total weight of 8.77 lbs., she also had Big Bass with a nice 3.88 pounder. Barbara Arrington finished in Second Place with 2 fish for a total weight of 2.20 lbs. The rest of us will just have to look forward to next month.
