We were so blessed to have Liz Meisell in our lives for a short time. She made a lasting impression on us in so many ways. Athens was her favorite lake so it is only fitting that we honor her memory each year with our Athens tournament.
Congratulations to Barbara Arrington who not only finished in First Place but she also caught the largest fish of her fishing career to take the Big Bass prize as well! Her total weight was 22.70 lbs. and her big bass weighed in at 10.36 lbs. Carol Smith finished Second with a 5 fish limit and a total weight of 14.31 lbs. Inge Kirby also had a 5 fish limit for Third Place and a total weight of 11.63 lbs.
Liz’s husband, Rodney was able to join us for weigh-in Sunday morning and breakfast following. It was good to see Rodney again. We know that Liz was certainly there with us in spirit.
