Fishing & Boating News
(01/05/2001 - Lebanon, MO.) When building the best aluminum Jon boats, the basics need to get down to a science. The folks at G3 like to think of it more as an art form. Hunters and anglers will too when they experience the 2001 line of Jon boats from G3.
To ensure the best value on the water, G3 Jon boats are engineered from rugged marine-grade aluminum and feature high-strength extruded ribs, reinforced corner and transom braces, textured non-skid floors, stamped-in keels and bow eyes and reinforced front and rear seats. There are nine models of G3's riveted Jon boats and four models of G3 welded Jon boats. Riveted Jon boat sizes range from a 10-foot long, 45-inch wide, 14-inch side depth Jon to a 15-foot, 8-inch long, 70-inch wide, 21-inch side depth unit. Maximum horsepower ranges from three-to-35 horsepower, depending on the boat. These models will hold from two to four persons. Three of the riveted Jon boats have a livewell built into the center seat.
Welded models range from 14-feet, 10-inches long, 65-inches wide, 20-inch side depth to 17-feet, 11-inches long, 80-inches wide, 24-inch side depth. Horsepower capacities range from 25 to 75 and person capacities range from four to seven.
The lightest G3 Jon boat, Model 1032, weighs only 76 pounds. The heaviest, Model 1860VBW, weighs 500 pounds.
Optional equipment on the G3 Jon boats include an adjustable console, an adjustable console with steering wheel, center console (on Models 1756 and 1860), bezel, cable and mount, a storage/rod box side mount and an aluminum with vinyl floor insert (on welded models only). Science, art or a combination of both, G3 make basics beautiful when it comes to aluminum fishing boats.
