The new Ranger 1880 Angler brings a longer, deeper and wider all-around fishing platform to families who want a versatile vessel that's as suited for largemouth bass and crappie in the South as it is for walleye and yellow perch in the Great Lakes and upper Midwest.

Measuring 18 feet, 8 inches, the new Ranger 1880 Angler is rated for 175 horsepower and available with a host of precision-matched, factory-rigged outboards. Sized to fit into most garages and pulled with lighter tow vehicles, the 1880 Angler is an ideal match for families who wish to live the boating lifestyle, who are serious about fishing and - with the availability of an accessory ski tow - might want to do more than catch fish while on the water.

"We place a lot of demands on cross-over boats and the new 1880 Angler is equipped to exceed all of them," said Ranger Boats President Randy Hopper. "This boat is a hardcore multi-species fishing platform, capable of taking on big water. But it's also designed with the family in mind, and that's evident in the wide-open layout, plush upholstery and peace of mind that comes with Ranger's unparalleled construction quality."

At the helm, the Ranger 1880 Angler features a new, restyled console designed to provide room to flush mount large-screen electronics along with multi-function gauges and new, membrane-style switches. The boat comes factory equipped with a Minn Kota Power Drive trolling motor, three-bank on-board battery charger and a Lowrance Mark-5X Pro mounted at the console. There's also room at the bow for flush mounting electronics centered between built-in cup holders.

The new 1880 Angler boasts many of the same features found in Ranger's flagship multi-species Fisherman Series, including a huge center rod locker with room for rods up to 7 feet, 6 inches in length and an oversized, aerated livewell. In addition, the massive front casting deck includes a conveniently located baitwell and gel-coat lined cooler. Storage is impressive throughout the boat, with areas tooled into the gunnels for even more room, plus a flip-down tackle storage system beneath the passenger's console. Also standard is a Bluetooth-capable Jensen stereo system that connects to phones and MP3 players via a USB cable that runs to the passenger console glove box.

The 1880 Angler comes equipped with a custom Ranger Trail trailer, engineered to be the strongest, most durable and smoothest traveling trailer on the road. The matching fiberglass fenders and all-channel-steel construction ensure long lasting protection and striking good looks. Equipped with Ranger's ultra-tough Road Armor finish, the Ranger Trail trailer is also standard with LED lights, aluminum wheels, full-sized spare, COOL Hub lubrication system, torsion axle suspension and locking, swing-away tongue.
