(Mar. 15, 2007 - Springfield, MO) Bass Pro Shops has recently been named the recipient of five Telly Awards. The awards were given for submissions from Bass Pro Shops Film and Video Department. These honors follow closely on the heels of 6 Communicator Awards presented to Bass Pro Shops, making a total of 11 major awards for both commercial spot production and TV show production in February and March. Four of the Tellys were awarded to [i][b]Bass Pro Shops Next Generation[/b][/i] TV show which had previously won three Communicator Awards. [i][b]Bass Pro Shops Next Generation[/b][/i] features youth and teens making a TV show about hunting and fishing on their terms—their way. The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs as well as the finest video and film productions. The Telly Awards receive in excess of 12,000 entries each year, so earning one is a significantly creative achievement as only about 7% to 18% are chosen. This year's winners represent companies, agencies and organizations of all sizes. Other winners this year include Disneyland Resort, Hallmark Channel, Nickelodeon, Nike, The Weather Channel and The History Channel.
