(Feb. 6, 2013 - Ontario, Canada)... Pure isolation - Harsh elements - Hundred fish days. At Thunderhook Fly-Ins of Ontario, our fly-in only fishing destinations offer an experience unlike any other fishing trip. Catch a flight into Minneapolis or Thunder Bay, and our small aircraft brings you the rest of the way - deep into Ontario’s Wabikimi Wilderness. Some fear the isolation, others indulge in the serenity.

Shopping? Restaurants? Night life? Sorry, try Vegas. In our isolated cabins, meals usually consist of whatever you bring in addition to the day’s catch. Campfires, star-gazing, and silence is what we specialize in. Oh yeah, also expect to catch hundreds of Walleye over your trip. Being in our isolated location, we have a ridiculous amount of Walleye, Pike, and Lake Trout. Your arms are going to fall off from reeling in so many fish. It’s not fishing up here, it’s just catching. Have a kid you want to get into fishing? Don’t take him to the pond with the bluegills, take him to our lakes and create a memory of a lifetime.

Ever had a Northern strike the Walleye you have on your stringer? The Pike up here are so unaccustomed to people, they will openly strike fish with no fear of human intervention. Though Northern Pike are less numerous than Walleye here, we still trump any population of Pike in the States. Lake Trout - same story. We’ve have a large quantity of trophy sized game fish. Expect to catch hundreds of fish, and hopefully a few trophies worthy of the wall mount (or wall replica) placement. We retain a large number of customers due to our consistent quantity and quality of fish. Who knows what you’re going to catch up here in the Wabakimi, but rest assured you’re going to catch a lot of something.

If you’re looking to combo up your fishing experience with another outdoor activity, we also offer a rare treat: moose hunting. Due to environmental law, moose hunting opportunities in the States are few and far between. However in Ontario we’ve got a higher population available for the taking. Bookings fill up very quickly, we suggest reserving a spot as early as possible if you’re interested.

As fishing regulations and pressure increase in the States, sometimes fishing can be very tough. Skip back a couple decades with Thunderhook Fly-Ins up in Ontario. Break a new personal fishing record, bring home a bull moose - all while taking in all the sunsets Ontario has to offer.
