Clewiston’s Wilson wins co-angler title
(Jan 24, 2015 - Clewiston, FL) Val Osinski of Pompano Beach, Florida, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 25 pounds, 4 ounces Saturday to win the Rayovac FLW Series Southeastern Division event on Lake Okeechobee presented by Power-Pole with a three-day total of 15 bass weighing 70 pounds, 8 ounces. For his victory, Osinski earned $40,000.

Marcus Sykora of Osage Beach, Mo., took the early lead at the Walmart BFL All-American presented by Chevy on Wilson Lake with a five-bass limit that weighed 26 pounds, 11 ounces. He now holds a comfortable 5-pound, 6-ounce lead over second place angler Timothy Feller of Coral Springs, Fla., in one of the longest-running championships in all of competitive bass fishing.

(Jun. 05, 2014 - SCOTTSVILLE, KY) Fox said that he caught around 30 bass and at least nine keepers on a day he described as "picture perfect." "I fished deep pockets up in the river in about 4 to 8 feet of water," said Fox. "I won a BFL here in 2011 doing the same thing, but in a different part of the lake."


Sims wins co-angler title
(Jun. 05, 2014 - HENDERSON, N.C.) Scott Beattie of Lincolnton, N.C., and Scott Tate of Marion, N.C., each weighed a five-bass limit totaling 13 pounds, 9 ounces Saturday to tie for the win at the third Walmart Bass Fishing League North Carolina Division tournament of 2014 on Kerr Lake. For their victories, each earned $2,659, with Beattie taking home an extra $2,300 in sponsor contingency bonuses.


(May. 31, 2014 - Dandridge, TN) Bassmaster Elite Series pro Ott DeFoe got the monkey off his back by finally winning a major tournament on his home waters. The Knoxville, Tenn., competitor clinched his first victory at Douglas Lake by catching the biggest limit of the tournament - a 24-pound, 1-ounce bag - to finish with a three-day total weight of 62-5 in the Bass Pro Shops Northern Open presented by Allstate.


(May. 30, 2014 - DANDRIDGE, TN.) Consistency has put Ott DeFoe in position to win his first Bassmaster event on his home waters of Douglas Lake. "Every big tournament we've had here I have done well, but I have yet to win one," said DeFoe, a Bassmaster Elite Series pro from Knoxville, Tenn. "I have made the Top 12 in every one of them, so I want to close the dang deal one time.

Former AOY Suffers Heart Attack
(May. 27, 2014 - MINNEAPOLIS,MN) Three-time FLW Angler of the Year winner Clark Wendlandt from Leander, Texas has withdrawn from next week's Walmart FLW Tour event at Pickwick Lake after suffering a heart attack on Monday. Wendlandt is currently at St. Mary's Hospital in downtown Knoxville and anticipates being released Thursday evening or Friday morning.

(May. 21, 2014 - KIMBERLING CITY, MO) "I caught all of my fish off of beds," said Jones, who had two previous top-10 finishes on Table Rock Lake in FLW competition before earning his victory. "After takeoff I made a 15 minute run to the dam area. I went there during my pre-fish on Friday and had found quite a few bass on beds. I'm glad I looked on Friday, because the conditions were cloudy on Saturday and you couldn't see them anymore. That probably helped me, though, because I knew where they were but they couldn't see me."

(May. 20, 2014 - HENDERSON, N.C.) "I started out my day by failing," said Hammack, who earned his second BFL win. "I tried to fish the shad spawn. The shad were spawning really well, but I fished for an hour and a half and didn't catch anything.

(May. 20, 2014 - KISSIMMEE, FL.) "I was on a pretty decent bite in practice but I didn't really have a good morning bite," said Clark, a seasoned veteran of Florida competition. "As I was running down the lake the morning of the tournament I was hitting a bunch of bugs. Finally one hit me in the chest and I saw it was a mayfly.


McGinnis wins co-angler title
(May. 20, 2014 - HARDIN, KY.) "I fished ledges with a sexy chartreuse-colored Strike King Pro Model 6XD in 15 to 18 feet of water," said Boss. "I located six schools of fish in practice on Friday and I was able to get on three of them in the tournament. There were boats on the other three. I basically caught all my fish on two of those spots.

(May. 19, 2014 - RUSSELLVILLE, AR.) Jason Christie pulled off a 4-ounce "wonder" win Sunday in the Bassmaster Elite at Lake Dardanelle. It wasn't a case of anyone thinking that a Christie victory would be a wonder. After all, the pro from Park Hill, Okla., was already an Elite champ from the 2013 season and has a very successful career going. It was Christie himself who was kept guessing.

(May. 13, 2014 - BRISTOL, TN.) "I started out fishing fast with crankbaits, spinnerbaits and swimbaits," said Henard, who earned the second BFL win of his career. "Then I picked up a worm and caught two keepers. I went back and forth between the crankbait and a worm. Then the fishing got pretty slow so I just stuck with the worm.


Morgan wins co-angler title
(May. 13, 2014 - MILLEDGEVILLE, GA.) Carver earned the sixth BFL win of his career using a pearl-colored Bass Hound Main Event Prop Bait, a lure made by local angler and BFL stick Kip Carter, who was also in the field and finished in fourth place.

"I sat on one of my best spots for about three hours in the morning, but I didn't get one keeper. So, at about 10 o'clock I made a move to a little area I know where I thought the bass might be coming in to spawn.
