Cheek's Marine - About Us

Cheek's Marine, founded by Ed Cheek, has been in operation in Central Louisiana since 1964. The current owner Steve Berry, Ed Cheek's son-in-law, has owned the business since 1975. Cheeks Marine is the premier dealership in Cenla. In 2005, Cheek's Marine added a retail sales center in Alexandria, Louisiana and converted the Pineville store into a marine service center.

Cheek's Marine sells boats by Ranger, Stratos, G3, Crownline, and Princecraft and outboards by Mercury and Yamaha along with Mercruiser Stern Drives. The technical team services all of the aforementioned products. Cheek's is proud to be one of a handful of dealers in the state equipped to diagnose problems with the Mercury's new Verado series of engines; having all of the software necessary to dial in this sophisticated product.

The Technical Team is headed by Rusty Davis, who is the Service Center Manager. The outboard technicians are Aaron Smith, Bill Craft, and Carl Neill; and our boat technicians are Daniel Tyler and Demetrius Newton. The Service Center operates in a 10,000 sq. ft. facility which is located on a 2 acre fenced lot complete with its own "back in" test tank. We carry a full line of parts for Mercury, Yamaha, and Mercruiser as well as accessories. This team has been instrumental in helping Cheek’s Marine achieve a 96+% CSI Score with every Manufacturer that we represent.

The Sales Team at Cheek's Marine consists of Steve Berry, Lionel Jenkins, and Ryan Noland who have over 75 years of combined marine sales experience. Our office operation is managed by Linda Noland. In addition to new boat and motor sales, Cheek's also sells pre-owned boats and accepts trade-ins. There are complete accessory departments at both our sales (Alexandria) and service (Pineville) facilities.

Cheek's Marine has been a member of the Louisiana Marine and Motorcycle Trade Association for many years; Steve is currently serving as the President. Cheek's Marine is also a member of the Marine Retailers Association of America. Locally, Cheek's Marine belongs to and supports the Better Business Bureau
