Boater Kip Carter of Social Circle, Georgia, caught a three-day cumulative total of 15 bass weighing 42 pounds, 12 ounces, to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Regional event on Wheeler Lake presented by Ranger Boats. For his efforts, Carter took home $65,200 including a new Ranger Z518C boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude outboard and an automatic berth into the 2018 BFL All-American Championship.


North Carolina’s Lockler Takes Home Co-angler Title
(Oct 17, 2017 - WILLIAMSBURG, Va.) Boater Richard Owen of Chester, Virginia, caught a three-day cumulative total of 15 bass weighing 40 pounds, 11 ounces, to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Regional event on the James River presented by Costa Sunglasses. Owen earned $65,000 for his win, including a new Ranger Z518C boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude outboard and an automatic berth into the 2018 BFL All-American Championship.


Missouri Boater Bests 155-boat Field to Earn Third Career Victory, $40K
(Oct 14, 2017 - OSAGE BEACH, MO.) Boater Andre Dickneite of Freeburg, Missouri, brought a five-bass limit to the scale Saturday weighing 15 pounds even to win the Costa FLW Series Central Division event on Lake of the Ozarks presented by Evinrude. Dickneite’s three-day total of 15 bass weighing 48 pounds, 4 ounces, was enough to earn him the win by a 2-pound, 8-ounce margin and the first place prize of $40,000.

Bethel University Slips to 2nd as West Virginia Moves to 3rd

(Oct 7, 2017 - San Antonio, TX) The 2017-2018 Cabela's School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia has been dominated by so far this season by Bethel University.  The last event Bethel University competed in was the 2017 McKendree University Fall Invitational where the team of James Jerding and Brad Ableman came in second place with a five-fish limit weighing 13 pounds, and bringing home the big bass honors with a 5.47-pound beauty.

The bipartisan legislation sponsored by Senators Bill Nelson (D-Fla.); Marco Rubio (R-Fla.); Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), and Joe Manchin, III (D-W.Va.), passed by a voice vote on October 2.

The season will again consist of three events in each of the five divisions – Central, Northern, Southeastern, Southwestern and Western – along with the no-entry-fee Costa FLW Series Championship to be held on Lake Guntersville in Guntersville, Alabama.


(Oct 3, 2017 - LAKEPORT, CA.) The University of Oregon duo of Ryan Habenicht and Daniel Marshall, both of Eugene, Oregon, won the YETI FLW College Fishing Western Conference tournament at Clear Lake Saturday with a five-bass limit weighing 18 pounds, 15 ounces. The victory earned the Ducks bass club $2,000 and the team will now advance to compete at the 2018 FLW College Fishing National Championship, scheduled for May 30-June 2 on the Red River in Shreveport, Louisiana.

(Oct 3, 2017 - WAGONER, Okla.) YETI FLW College Fishing is heading to Fort Gibson Lake on Oct. 14 for the third and final regular-season stop in the Southern Conference. The tournament was originally scheduled for early May, but was forced to be rescheduled due to flooding and dangerous water conditions.

(Oct 3, 2017 - HENRICO, Va.) Boater Keith Estes of Spring Grove, Virginia, weighed a two-day cumulative total of 10 bass weighing 28 pounds even to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Shenandoah Division tournament on the James River. For his efforts, Estes received $4,101.


Tennessee’s Utley Wins Co-angler Title
(Oct 2, 2017 - BRANDON, MS.) Reigning Forrest Wood Cup Champion Justin Atkins of Florence, Alabama, added to his stellar 2017 campaign Sunday, winning the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Mississippi Division tournament on Ross Barnett Reservoir with a two-day cumulative total of 10 bass weighing 24 pounds, 6 ounces. Atkins was awarded $7,646 for his victory.


(Oct 2, 2017 - Herrington Lake-Lancaster, KY) Bradley Roy’s 5th Annual High School Open was held on Saturday, September 30th on Herrington Lake. A record field of 94 teams from 29 different schools competed for two spots in the 2018 Bassmaster High School National Championship.

(Oct 2, 2017 - ) Boater Willie McMullen of Oxford, Georgia, won the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) South Carolina Division tournament on Lake Wylie with a two-day total of 10 bass weighing 26 pounds, 3 ounces. For his win, McMullen pocketed $5,082.


(Oct 2, 2017 - Minneapolis, MNf) FLW announced today that the 2017 T-H Marine BFL Wild Card tournament will take place on Kentucky and Barkley lakes, Nov. 10-11. The previously reported date of Oct. 27-28 was changed due to a scheduling conflict. The event will launch from the Kentucky Dam Marina, located at 466 Marina Drive in Gilbertsville, Kentucky.


Texas’ Shelton Takes Co-angler Title
(Oct 2, 2017 - Many, LA.) Boater Glen Freeman of Zwolle, Louisiana, won the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Cowboy Division tournament on Toledo Bend Lake Sunday with a two-day cumulative total of 10 bass weighing 37 pounds, 11 ounces. For his efforts, Freeman took home $8,074.


Dawson’s Harcrow Nabs Co-angler Title
(Oct 2, 2017 - SCOTTSBORO, AL) FLW Tour pro Alex Davis of Albertville, Alabama, weighed a two-day cumulative of 10 bass totaling 34 pounds, 9 ounces to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Choo Choo Division tournament on Lake Guntersville presented by Mud Hole Custom Tackle. For his win, Davis pocketed $7,704.


California Boater Bests 100-boat Field to Earn First Career Victory, $76K
(Oct 1, 2017 - LAKEPORT, CA.) Boater Bryant Smith of Castro Valley, California, brought a five-bass limit to the scale Saturday weighing 12 pounds, 8 ounces to lead the event wire-to-wire and win the Costa FLW Series Western Division event on Clear Lake presented by Evinrude. Smith’s three-day total of 15 bass weighing 53 pounds, 15 ounces, was enough to earn him the win by an 8-pound, 6-ounce margin and the first place prize package worth $76,271, including a new Ranger Z521C with a 200-horsepower Evinrude outboard.

Port Charlotte’s LaPorta Grabs Co-angler Title

Jessie Mizell of Sarasota, Florida, won the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Gator Division tournament on Lake Okeechobee Sunday with a two-day cumulative catch of 10 bass weighing 42 pounds, 12 ounces. For his win, Mizell earned $5,848. According to post-tournament reports, Mizell targeted schooling fish in the northeast area of the lake using a 6th Sense crankbait.


Benton’s Delaney Takes Co-angler Title
(Sep 25, 2017 - HOT SPRINGS, AR..) Local angler Spencer Shuffield of Hot Springs, weighed a two-day cumulative of 10 bass totaling 20 pounds, 8 ounces, to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Arkie Division tournament on Lake Hamilton presented by Geared. Shuffield took home $5,277 for his efforts.


Virginia’s Viers Nabs Co-angler Title
(Sep 25, 2017 - ROCKWOOD, TN.) Brian Holcomb of Madisonville, Tennessee, won the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Volunteer Division tournament on Watts Bar Lake Sunday with a two-day cumulative catch of nine bass weighing 22 pounds, 1 ounce. For his win, Holcomb pocketed $6,804.


Virginia’s Wright Nabs Co-angler Title
(Sep 25, 2017 - HENDERSON, N.C.) Jonathon Guins of Wendell, North Carolina, weighed a two-day cumulative of eight bass totaling 24 pounds, 13 ounces, to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Piedmont Division tournament on Kerr Lake presented by Navionics. For his win, Guins earned $8,011.
