Official Rules
  1. All State, Coast Guard, Federal and Parks and Wildlife Regulations shall apply at all times.
  2. Professional Guides, Marina Employees, Marina Owners who do business on Cedar Creek Lake, Employees of KCKL/KLVQ and their immediate families will not be eligible to compete in the tournament.
  3. Only largemouth, smallmouth, and Kentucky spotted bass (black bass) will be weighed in.
  4. You must personally weigh-in your fish.
  5. You may launch from anywhere on the lake, including Log Cabin City.
  6. All contestants must wear a Coast Guard approved life vest when the outboard engine is running.
  7. No wake allowed at the landing.
  8. A contestant is not permitted to fish nearer than 25 yards from another tournament boat which is anchored, tied or fishing the shoreline unless permission is granted.
  9. There is no limit to the number of times you may weigh-in. Likewise, there is no limit to the number of times you can enter the Big Bass of the Hour Contest, but you may win only one (1) prize per hour. Bass entered in the Big Bass of the Hour Contest do not carry forward from hour to hour. The two (2) largest bass you enter will be your Big Bass and Tie Breaker in the overall Final Standings. Only one (1) Place per contestant will be paid in the overall Final Standings.
  10. Fish must be weighed on day caught.
  11. No refund of entry fee after March 17, 2012.
  12. Entry fee MUST be paid BEFORE fishing.
  13. Fish must be kept in a live well or on a stringer. Do not transport fish to weigh-in on ice or in ice water. Fish must be alive when weighed in.
  14. You may weigh-in fish any time after 7:00 a.m.
  15. Fish must be caught in Cedar Creek Lake between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. the days of the tournament. The only off-limits to fishing time will be from midnight until 7:00 a.m. on tournament days. You must be in the weigh in line by 3:00 p.m.
  16. The tournament will be held regardless of weather conditions.
  17. All fish become the property of KCKL/KLVQ.
  18. No fishing within 100 yards of official landing area.
  19. Fishing will be done with a rod and reel and artificial lures only (pork rind acceptable). No trolling.
  20. Any and all announcements concerning emergencies and hourly results will be broadcast on KCKL 95.9. BRING YOUR PORTABLE RADIO.
  21. There is no limit on the number of people fishing in a boat provided you comply with Coast Guard regulations. Wading, pirouges, tube fishing, etc. are acceptable.
  22. You may fish with a non-contestant but they may only assist you with the landing net.
  23. Contestants entering by mail must check in with Tournament Officials before fishing to receive a Tournament Decal which must be displayed on the motor, tube, etc. while fishing. ENTERING IN PERSON OR HAVING SOMEONE ENTER FOR YOU IS CONSIDERED CHECKING-IN. ONCE YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR DECAL, NO FURTHER CHECK-IN REQUIRED.
  24. Contestants will not allow any fish caught by them to be weighed by another contestant.
  25. With payment of ONE entry fee you may choose to fish either Saturday or Sunday up until 1000 entries are entered on either of the two days. With payment of TWO entry fees you will fish BOTH DAYS.
  26. KCKL/KLVQ reserves the right to adjust and balance the number of people fishing per day.
  27. All applications for entry in the KCKL/KLVQ BASS TOURNAMENT and the determination of winners and right to awards are subject to the sole approval and discretion of the Tournament Committeer whose decision thereon is FINAL.
  28. Substitution is allowed if you are unable to fish on the days paid for. Written permission is required and a new entry form will be filled out.
  29. Taxes, title, registration, license, and other fees are the responsibility of the prize winners.
  30. Boats may be launched at any time, but no fishing until 7:00 am each day.
