Fishing Report
The lake is 164.9 ft msl, high pool is 172 ft msl. The water temperature has been gradually falling and is running in the upper 50s. The north end of the main lake is stained with the feeder creeks muddy. The fog has been very thick a few mornings and a good GPS marking your route and fishing holes is a necessity if you get out on the lake in these conditions.
The Crappie fishing has been getting better everyday with some days better than others based on the fronts that have been passing through. We’re putting a number of two plus pounders in the boat. Shiners and jigs working in 14 to 28 ft of water.
The White and Yellow Bass continue to be excellent in fourteen to twenty foot of water on slab spoons. If the Whites aren’t up shallow on the sand-bars, back out to the drop along the river channel.
Not many people fishing for Black Bass lately but the few reports coming in have been good. A jig or CR rig worked along the river channel shelf and ledges have been producing some quality fish.
