Toledo Bend - TX,
Fishing report

The lake is at 172.32 ft., high pool is 172 ft. Water temperature is running in 70s. SRA is running both generators and has 5 gates open one foot, discharging 19,544 cfs.

Heavy rains the last couple of weeks and SRA opening and closing the gates have kept the lake level all over the board. Fishing patterns have also been mixed from shallow, mid depth and deep. When the gates are closed and water is in the bushes and over flooded pepper grass we?re catching good fish on top water baits, buzz baits, spinner baits and finesse plastics. When the gates are open, the bit really slows down and we?re having better luck with finesse plastics. Some bass also being caught off main lake and secondary points in 8 to 12 ft. of water on crank baits and Carolina or Texas rigged plastics.

Good reports of White Bass coming in off river channel sandbars, boat roads, main lake points and at the mouth of the coves when the lake is stable. Heavy rains and rising muddy water will scatter the Whites but once the lake settles they will group back up. Slab spoons and tail spinners working best in 13 to 20 foot of water. Keep a shallow diving crank bait, trap or top water plug handy if they start schooling.

Heavy rains have slowed the bream and Crappie.

Good reports of Catfish coming in on trot-lines strung in 4 to 8ft. of water. Live bream working best.
