I've been fishing with Rick several times now and have more fun each time I go. He works very hard and cares more about you catching fish than you do. Rick knows the lake very well and he has taken me to places on the lake I wouldn't normally have fished, and we catch fish there. He explains why the fish were caught there and where you can expect to catch them in the weeks to come and on what baits. My skills have improved quite a bit since the first time I fished with Rick, because he is good at explaining the fishing situations we've been in.
You should pay real close attention when fishing with Rick, you can really learn a lot about fishing Lake Fork. I've come away with several good pictures from trips with Rick and that keeps me coming back. I also owe Rick a big thanks for putting me on fish when I've come down to fish on my own or with my partner. Rick works very hard to stay on fish, even on his days off you can pretty much count on him to be out there on the lake searching for new fish.
If you haven't been to Lake Fork, by all means, call Rick Loomis for a guide trip. You will thank yourself later. If you have been to Fork 1 to 20 times, call him for a trip. You will improve your catching ability tremendously by seeing how he fishes. If you haven't been night fishing on Fork then I highly recommend it. My most memorable trip was the 2 nights my partner and I fished with Rick in June of '98. It was cool and not very busy, and Rick put us on some really good fish. We zipped around that lake like it was daylight, nightfishing on Fork is a ball and I highly recommend it. Since that trip my partner and I have been out several times at night and have done very well. Give him a call !!
