Fishing Lake Fork 2002 and 2003
Lake Fork has went through a number of changes in the last few years.
We had the Largemouth Bass Virus in 1999 and lost most of the grass in the Lake. 2002 was a very good year for the grass returning and a number of big fish being caught . There was 7 ShareLunker fish caught that is fish over 13 pounds. The biggest being 16.12 pounds that is 2 pounds short of a new Lake record and a Texas State record. I work with five other Lake Fork guides . We do a number of group and corporate trips. Fishing on Lake Fork in 2002 was very good , we had a number of fish over 10 pounds and a lot of fish between 7 and 10 pounds. I had one client that caught a 11.15 and a 10.8 in the same day late in June.
2003 has already started with one fish in the ShareLunker program that fish was 14.17. With the mild winter we have had so far fishing should get started in Feb with a bang.
