About Hawks Fishing Guide Service
Captain Sam Williams is a retired farmer and has fished for the better part of 55 years and has been guiding full time since 1997.
He serves as chairman of the lake activities committee for the Eufaula/Barbour County Tourism council and also serves on the Chamber Eco/Tourism Committee. More specifically, he has been personally involved in the effort to persuade the Alabama Fisheries Biologists to reinstall and maintain the fish attractors on the Alabama side of the Chattahoochee. Was also influential in helping the tourism council convince Alabama fisheries to reduce the minimum size limit from 16 inches to 14 inches to draw more tournaments to our location.
Capt.Sam Williams is the founder and director of the very popular Lee King Benefit Buddy Tournament, Inc. for the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation. The tournament raises research funds to find a cure and is always held on the second Saturday of June in Eufaula, Alabama. A free kid's fun day is held while the adult tournament is going on.
Fishing Lake Eufaula
The Walter F. George Reservoir, known as Lake Eufaula, is called the Bass Capital of the world. Lake Eufaula has the Chattahoochee River that runs through it. Here you can test your skills fishing on the river ledges. The lake runs 85 miles along the Chattahoochee River, with beautiful scenery on the Alabama and Georgia shoreline. You can fish the 46,000 acres with either an Alabama or Georgia fishing license. Within the 640 miles of shoreline, Capt.
