Nitshke & Bonds blow them away on Lake Conroe with 31.70 lbs. Kyle Nitshke & Jason Bonds came walking to the scales with both carrying each side of the bulging weigh-in bag. I knew then that they had an awesome limit of bass. Their largest fish was a 7.56 lb’er. Unfortunately that wasn’t the biggest bass of the day but they still came away with the win for the day and a check for $1,675.00. Jason reported that “We fished out of a Ranger 520c powered by a 250 Evinrude, and that we pretty much fished the whole lake. We caught 3 of the fished that we weighed along with a few short ones on a Strike King popping Perch, the rest came on a Strike King 6XD. The fishing was very slow, we caught only 9 or 10 fish all day.” Way to go guys !!!
Chris Kespohl, fishing out of his Charger-Yamaha Vmax, came in early with five fish weighing 22.35 lbs, but unfortunately he had three fish that died on him so his total weight ended up being 20.85 lbs. That was still enough to bring home the second place check for $835.00… Chris reported catching his fish on the north side of the lake fishing watermelon red Brush Hogs in 2 feet of water.
Third place was held by Jason Griffin & Gary Griffin. They came in with a limit of bass weighing 19.99lbs. Jason & Gary won $500.00 for their third place finish.
Mr. Harold Moore & Chris Wilson came in fourth and reported “ We run Phoenix Boats and Yamaha Motors. We fished 6th Sense Crank baits basically all over the lake trying to cover as much water as possible. We started out on the upper end and worked our way south cranking rock and brush until we ran out of time and had to head to weigh-in. We would like to thank Phoenix Boats, and 6th Sense Lures for building awesome products. Moore & Wilson won $335.00 for their fourth place finish…
The team of Jimmy Cole & Tony King brought in the biggest bass of the day, a nice 7.85 lb’er. Jimmy says that Tony caught it. They took home $200.00 for that one bite. I would like to Thank both Jimmy and Tony for the electrical hook up for the Anglers Quest trailer so that Me and Ms. Kathy can have air conditioning while we are there…I appreciate you guys !!!!!
