"Rippin Lips for Vets" Bass Tournament In Maryland

(Mar 31, 2016 - Norman, OK) Get on the water for the first "Rippin Lips for Vets" Bass Tournament, on Sat., April 2, 2016, at the Whippernock Marina and Campground in Sutherland, Va. The tournament starts at 7 a.m. with the weigh-in at 2 p.m.

Proceeds of the tournament will fund two all-terrain track wheelchairs for Freedom Hunters, a military outreach program dedicated to honoring those who protect our freedoms. With the donation of these chairs, Freedom Hunters will be able to help multiple veterans with debilitating injuries enjoy the outdoor activities they once loved.

This tournament is one of the ways to fundraise for these chairs, with a deadline of Aug. 1, 2016. Once the track chairs have been manufactured, Midlothian Family Dentistry will present them to Freedom Hunters, Inc. on Nov. 5 at the Midlothian Family Dentistry Fall Festival. Additional donations for the track chairs, total cost of $35,000, can be made at Go Fund Me: www.gofundme.com/n6j7jpak.

Sponsors include Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Buick GMC, Classic Party Rentals of Virginia and Midlothian Family Dentistry.

Registration fees are $60 per boat, two-man team (three-man team allowed if taking a veteran) before April 2. On April 2, registration is $75.

About Freedom Hunters
Freedom Hunters is a military outreach program dedicated to honoring those who protect our freedoms. Our mission is to salute the noble work of our courageous men and women of our Armed Forces. Freedom Hunters reflects the outdoor community's appreciation to our troops by taking: select active duty and combat veterans, families of fallen heroes, children of the deployed, as as those wounded or injured, on outdoor adventures. Freedom Hunters' mission is empowered by the generous support of many: sportsmen, conservation groups, state agencies, outfitters, corporations and land owners.
