Ned Johnson of Charleston, S.C., took top honors at the Islamorada Invitational Fall Fly Bonefish Tournament that ended Sept. 14.

Johnson, who fished with Islamorada's veteran guide Ted Christie, scored seven bonefish releases and one weight fish to earn the duo the tournament's grand champions award. Johnson and Christie also won awards for the most releases and largest bonefish, at 11.15 pounds.

Rand Holstead of Houston, Texas, was the tournament's runner-up grand champion with five releases and one weight fish. Holstead, whose 15-pound permit on fly earned him the best ?other fish? trophy, fished with Islamorada's Captain Brian Helms.

Anglers in the tournament's 11-boat field released a total of 26 bonefish including three weight fish.
