(Mar. 18, 2004 - Dania Beach, Florida, USA) The International Game Fish Association (IGFA) World Record Achievement Awards Celebration attracted a sellout crowd of nearly 300 guests on March 13, 2004 at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame Museum. The event honored the top world record achievers of 2003 and over 50 trophies were presented in various categories.

Herbert Ratner Jr. and Mrs. William B. DuVal were presented IGFA's first lifetime achievement awards. They are the only two anglers ever to set over 100 world records. Ratner has 160 records.

Money raised from the event will be used to support IGFA's many conservation efforts.
