Young Anglers To Receive Free Fishing Tips Booklet

New guide book to be handed out at Wal-Mart Kids All-American Fishing Derbies

(Mar. 15, 2004 - KETCHUM, OK.) Nestle Waters North America has published World's Greatest Fishing Tips for Kids, a waterproof booklet that is perfectly sized for young anglers‚ tackle boxes. All kids 6 to 16 participating in a Wal-Mart Kids All-American Fishing Derby -- an estimated 300,000 this year -- will receive the guide free of charge. There will be an estimated 1,800 sanctioned events taking place in communities across the country in 2004. The eight-page guide contains cleverly written and illustrated fishing tips that kids can learn from as well as enjoy reading. World's Greatest Fishing Tips for Kids features Sebastian T. Bobber, the "Official Spokesbobber of Youth Fishing" and the mascot of the Wal-Mart Kids All-American Fishing Derby program. Tips included in the guide cover such topics as casting, bait selection, knots and water safety. On each page, the reader will also learn entertaining factoids about bottled water. The booklet grew out of Nestle Waters North America's sponsorship of the Wal-Mart Kids All-American Fishing Derby program. "We wanted to actively participate in the program by offering the kids something they could really use," said Chris Roehl, Wal-Mart Team Leader for Nestle Waters. "This piece also provides a great vehicle to reinforce the importance and benefits of daily water consumption."
