Just about every angler in the field was hammering them, and it was that bite that figured to make or break an angler’s chances of winning the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Northern Open No. 1. Angler upgrades Ranger boat and Evinrude outboard 
(Jun 19, 2017 - Flippin, AR) Ranger Boats Pro Mark Courts brought in a two-day total of 41.97 pounds to win the Cabela's National Walleye Tour (NWT) event on the Mississippi River at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, on June 16. The angler won $15,000 and, by participating in the Ranger and Evinrude contingency programs, was upgraded to a new fully rigged Ranger 620FS with a 250 horsepower Evinrude G2 outboard for a total of $81,266 in winnings.


El Reno’s Ezell tops Co-angler Division
(Jun 19, 2017 - WAGONER, Okla.) Boater Brett Brumnett of Wagoner, Oklahoma, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 19 pounds, 7 ounces Saturday to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Okie Division event on Fort Gibson Lake. Brumnett took home $4,507 for his victory.


Grover’s Ward tops Co-angler Division
(Jun 19, 2017 - ROCK HILL, S.C.) Boater Jeff Jennings of Rock Hill, South Carolina, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 19 pounds, 3 ounces Saturday to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) North Carolina Division event on Lake Wylie. Jennings took home $5,945 for his victory.


Hamilton’s Sykes tops Co-angler Division
(Jun 19, 2017 - BLOOMINGTON, Ind) Boater Chris Myers of Madison, Indiana, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 16 pounds, 13 ounces Saturday to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Hoosier Division event on Lake Monroe presented by Navionics. Myers took home $6,394 for his victory.

(Jun 17, 2017 - ORANGE, TX) Carl Svebek III has been a professional angler for most of his life. He cut his teeth fishing tournaments on Sam Rayburn Reservoir, and he went on to fish in several major series as an adult. Eight years ago, Svebek dropped out of sight. He stopped fishing professionally. He had lost his title sponsor and was going through a divorce. So he decided to give up the sport he loved to spend more time with his children who hadn’t seen much of dad while he was on the road fishing.

Yamamoto Baits pro Tom Monsoor of La Crosse, Wisconsin, brought five bass weighing 15 pounds, 5 ounces, to the scale Saturday to retain his lead at the FLW Tour on the Potomac River presented by Costa Sunglasses with a three-day cumulative of 15 bass weighing 51-9. Monsoor will begin the fourth and final day of competition with a slim 2-ounce edge over Brandon McMillan of Clewiston, Florida, who improved from 15th to 2nd in after weighing a five-bass limit totaling 19-7.

(Jun 16, 2017 - MARBURY, Md.) Yamamoto Baits pro Tom Monsoor of La Crosse, Wisconsin, brought a five-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 14 ounces, to the scale Friday to grab the lead at the FLW Tour on the Potomac River presented by Costa Sunglasses. Monsoor’s two-day cumulative catch of 10 bass weighing 36-4 gives him a 1-pound, 2-ounce advantage heading into Day Three of the four-day event that features the best bass anglers from across the globe competing for a top cash award of up to $125,000.

Broussard, who lives 30 minutes away in Port Arthur, Texas, maintained his lead on Friday at the Bass Pro Shops Central Open No. 2 on the Sabine River.

Reynolds/Thompson claim Team of the Year title
(Jun 5, 2017 - New Smyrana Beach, FL) Kyle Rowe and Ted Pate walked away with a prize package worth $64,000 for winning the championship event of the 2017 Texas Team Trail presented by Cabela's on June 3-4 on Lake Livingston. The anglers' winnings included a fully rigged Ranger Z519C with a 225HP Evinrude G2 outboard and $1,605 of Anglers Advantage cash.

Marshall Deakins tops Boater Division, wins $125,000 and invitation to Forrest Wood Cup
(Jun 4, 2017 - Florence, AL) Marshall Deakins of Dunlap, Tennessee, brought a five-bass limit to the scale weighing 15 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday to win the 34th annual T-H Marine Bass Fishing League (BFL) All-American on Pickwick Lake. Deakins’ three-day cumulative catch of 15 bass weighing 60 pounds, 6 ounces was enough to earn him $125,000 and a berth into the world championship of bass fishing – the Forrest Wood Cup.

Mark Davis of Mount Ida, Ark., is no stranger to tough tournaments, and during Saturday’s second round of competition, he caught 19 pounds, 4 ounces of bass to take the lead at the GoPro Bassmaster Elite at Lake Dardanelle presented by Econo Lodge. His two-day total is 33-9.

The win earned the team trophies, the title of national champions and each angler a $5,000 scholarship to their college of choice.

(Jun 1, 2017 - Florence, AL) Boater Marshall Deakins of Dunlap, Tennessee, took the early lead at the 34th annual T-H Marine Bass Fishing League (BFL) All-American on Pickwick Lake Thursday with a five-bass limit weighing 24 pounds, 6 ounces. Deakins will begin Day Two of the three-day competition with a 2-pound, 14-ounce lead over second-place angler Mike Brueggen of La Crosse, Wisconsin, who weighed in five bass totaling 21 pounds, 8 ounces.

How would another weather change affect the fishing conditions was on the minds of the top five teams all of whom had weighed in more than 20 pounds on day one.

(May 26, 2017 - Houston County Lake, TX) Tuesday night the forecast said wind and rain.... and so it came...... but, it triggered the fish to bite!!!! There were 40 fish caught, with a total of  97.89 lbs...... That was just 16 teams..... WOW !!!

There was no question this would be a great day of bass fishing featuring 192 of the best collegiate fishing teams in the country, representing 91 colleges and universities on the water.

The Madison County High School duo of Connor Hughes of Brightwood, Virginia, and Brian Canterbury of Madison, Virginia, brought a five-bass limit to the scale Saturday weighing 9 pounds even to win the 2017 Bass Pro Shops FLW High School Fishing Virginia Open tournament on Claytor Lake.


(May 23, 2017 - Gadsen, AL) The Gardendale High School duo of Griffin Phillips and Fletcher Phillips, both of Mount Olive, Alabama, brought a five-bass limit to the scale Sunday weighing 10 pounds, 15 ounces, to win the 2017 TBF High School Fishing Alabama State Championship tournament on Lake Neely Henry in Gadsden, Alabama. The win advanced the team to the 2017 High School Fishing National championship, held June 27-July 1 at Pickwick Lake in Florence, Alabama.
