Goochland Angler Outlasts 159 Boaters in Three-Day Tournament, Pockets $42,200
(Aug 26, 2017 - MARBURY, Md.) Boater Mike Hicks of Goochland, Virginia, weighed five bass totaling 16 pounds, 14 ounces, Saturday to win the Costa FLW Series Northern Division finale on the Potomac River presented by Plano. Hick’s three-day total of 15 bass weighing 48 pounds, 10 ounces, was enough to earn the win and $42,200.


(Aug 26, 2017 -   MACOMB COUNTY, MI.) The only certainty after three days of the Advance Auto Parts Bassmaster Elite at Lake St. Clair is that no lead is safe.   Jordan Lee, the reigning champion of the GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods, caught five bass that weighed 25 pounds, 9 ounces, Saturday to push his three-day total to 69-13. That moved him from fifth to first place and made him the third leader in as many days.


(Aug 25, 2017 - MACOMB COUNTY, MI.) Brock Mosley caught five bass Friday that weighed 25 pounds, 8 ounces, pushing his two-day total to 45-13 and taking the lead in the Advance Auto Parts Bassmaster Elite at Lake St. Clair.

(Aug 21, 2017 - SHELBYVILLE, IL.) Jeremy Mull of Chatham, Illinois, caught a five-bass limit weighing 22 pounds, 1 ounce, Saturday to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Illini Division tournament on Lake Shelbyville presented by Navionics. Mull took home $5,745 for his victory.


Indiana’s Raber Takes Co-angler Title
(Aug 21, 2017 - TRENTON, MI.) Cody Kelley of Portage, Michigan, caught a five-bass limit weighing 23 pounds, 9 ounces, Saturday to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Michigan Division tournament on the Detroit River presented by Navionics. Kelley pocketed $4,316 for his win.


(Aug 16, 2017 - DEERWOOD, Mn.) Since the 2017 season started on January 26, thousands of college anglers began battling for a chance at a single berth in the 2018 GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods. The dust settled today, two anglers stand atop the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series and will compete for seven final hours to determine a bracket champion.

Alabama Rookie Justin Atkins Weighs Second-Largest Limit in Forrest Wood Cup History to Clinch Victory
(Aug 13, 2017 - COLUMBIA, S.C) FLW Tour rookie Justin Atkins of Florence, Alabama, brought a five-bass limit to the scale Sunday weighing 22 pounds, 1 ounce – the second-heaviest limit ever weighed in the 22-year history of the Forrest Wood Cup – to earn the win at the 2017 Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Murray.

(Aug 13, 2017 - Lake Livingston, TX) There were only 11 teams that came out to Lake Livingston to fish the last regular season Anglers Quest tournament.... And it was hot !!! But that didn't stop the father & son team of Brian Sewell and Chip Sewell from bringing in 5 bass that weighed 16.21 lbs., and clinching the Angler of the Year Status. Brian & Chip also had the biggest bass of the tournament a nice 5.18 lb'er..... They won a total of $1,205.00 for their day on the water. Congratulations guys !!!!

FLW Tour pro Brandon Cobb of Greenwood, South Carolina, continued his momentum Saturday at the 2017 Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Murray, the world championship of professional bass fishing, weighing in a five-bass limit totaling 19 pounds, 4 ounces – his second straight day with a 19-plus pound limit.


(Aug 12, 2017 - BEMIDJI,Mn.) The Bryan College duo of Jacob Foutz and Jake Lee led the 2017 Carhartt Bassmaster College Series National Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops on Lake Bemidji wire-to-wire to take the title with a three-day total of 49 pounds, 15 ounces.

Jake Lee and Jacob Foutz of Bryan College not only held the top spot, but extended their lead at the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series National Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops on Lake Bemidji. They caught a two-day total of 34 pounds, 10 ounces of bass and hold a 4-13 lead over their nearest pursuer.


Local Favorite Anthony Gagliardi just 4 Ounces Behind in Second Place
(Aug 11, 2017 - COLUMBIA, S.C.) The world’s best bass anglers convened on Lake Murray in Columbia, South Carolina, Thursday to kick off the 2017 Forrest Wood Cup, the world championship of professional bass fishing. The three-day event, which awards a $300,000 top prize to the victor, featured a full field of 53 anglers competing today and Saturday before being cut to the final 10 on championship Sunday.

Sall Takes Co-angler Title
(Aug 7, 2017 - (Aug. 7, 2017) – Clint Bissonett of Beavercreek, O) Clint Bissonett of Beavercreek, Ohio, caught five bass weighing 8 pounds, 4 ounces, Saturday to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Buckeye Division tournament on the Ohio River. For his efforts, Bissonett took home $3,918.


(Aug 6, 2017 - Houston County Lake, TX) It was a fight until this last tournament, but Danny StAndrie won, not only the tournament but solidified Angler of the Year for him and his team mate Kary Essl. Danny weighed in a limit of bass for 12.50 lbs., and won $1,505.00 for his day on the water....

(Jul 31, 2017 - BIRDSEYE, IN.) Eighteen-year-old Blake Albertson of Bloomington, Indiana, caught five bass weighing 20 pounds, 11 ounces, Saturday to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Hoosier Division tournament on Patoka Lake. For his efforts, Albertson took home $6,126.


(Jul 30, 2017 - PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.) Nobody thought it was possible, Aaron Martens least of all. But on the final day of competition at the Bassmaster Elite at Lake Champlain presented by Dick Cepek Tires & Wheels, Martens massed a 23-pound, 5-ounce sack of bass and stunned the crowd, and the field, who all thought such a feat was impossible. He edged second-place finisher Seth Feider of Bloomington, Minn., by a little less than a pound.

(Jul 29, 2017 - PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.) The second round of the Bassmaster Elite at Lake Champlain presented by Dick Cepek Tires & Wheels dawned with clear, high skies and still-as-glass conditions. Jacob Wheeler of Indianapolis, Ind., took advantage and boated a 20-pound, 12-ounce limit of smallmouth bass, which catapulted him 29 spots up the leaderboard to first place with one day left to fish. His two-day, 10-fish total is 38-8.


(Jul 29, 2017 - PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.) The eighth of nine regular-season events began today at the Bassmaster Elite at Lake Champlain presented by Dick Cepek Tires & Wheels, and Todd Faircloth of Jasper, Texas, leads after the first day of competition on the strength of a 21-pound, 1-ounce limit of bass. He is also leading in the Phoenix Boats Big Bass of the tournament with a 6-1 largemouth bass — that is a rarity in this northern New York inland sea.

(Jul 25, 2017 - La Crosse, WI) Brandon Gann of Sparta, Wisconsin, caught three bass weighing 10 pounds, 14 ounces, Saturday to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Great Lakes Division tournament on the Mississippi River. For his win, Gann pocketed $5,401.


Newport News’ Riveras Takes Co-angler Title
(Jul 25, 2017 - HENRICO, Va.) Ben Jacobi of North Chesterfield, Virginia, brought five bass weighing 16 pounds, 10 ounces, to the scale Saturday to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Shenandoah Division tournament on the James River. For his win, Jacobi earned $3,426.


(Jul 24, 2017 - CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y.) The Adrian College duo of Jarrett Martin and Zachary Graham, both of Gallipolis, Ohio, won the YETI FLW College Fishing Northern Conference tournament at Lake Chautauqua presented by Bass Pro Shops Saturday with a five-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 3 ounces.

(Jul 23, 2017 - Houston County Lake, TX) Craig Morris & Cody Swann won the Saturday Team Tournament on Lake Houston....Craig reported "We had an early bite on Spinnerbaits fishing laydowns. When the clouds rolled in about 11:30 am we were able to cull a few fish on docks before we had to take cover from the storm.... Thanks to Bimini Bay, Saltlife Optics & Tsunami." Craig & Cody won $1,760.00 for their five fish limit that weighed 15.14 lbs. Way to go guys !!!!!

These guys are all about the summertime bite. They brought five fish to the scales that weighed an awesome 20.01 lbs... They also had the bigges bass of the day, a nice 4.37 lb'er.... They won a total of $1235.00... Way to catch 'em guys !!!!

Bassin-sponsored duo of Richard Patterson, Dave Smith along with media representative Glen Cabezas from AnglerGear.net, won the third annual ICAST Cup presented by FLW bass-fishing tournament on Lake Toho Tuesday morning after bringing a five-bass limit to the scale weighing 20 pounds, 7 ounces. For their victory, the duo each earned trophies to take home and the title of ICAST Cup Champions.

Culleoka’s Andrews Earns Co-angler Title
(Jul 10, 2017 - GALLATIN, TN.) Daniel Johnson of Lebanon, Tennessee, brought five bass weighing 18 pounds, 7 ounces, to the scale Saturday to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Music City Division tournament on Old Hickory Lake presented by Navionics. Johnson took home $3,418 for his victory.


(Jul 5, 2017 - Florence, AL) The Mount Ida High School duo of Hunter Davis and Tyler Allenbrand, both of Mount Ida, Arkansas, brought a five-bass limit to the scale Friday weighing 23 pounds, 10 ounces to win the 2017 TBF/FLW High School Fishing National Championship on Pickwick Lake in Florence, Alabama with a three-day total of 53-6. The win earned the team trophies, the title of national champions and each angler a $5,000 scholarship to their college of choice.
