Leesburg Pro Catches 19-pound, 14-ounce Final Day Limit, Wins $100,000
(Jan 28, 2018 - Clewiston, FL) When Leesburg, Florida, angler Tim Frederick turned pro and began competing on the Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) Tour, the first event of his career was at Lake Okeechobee in February of 2016. Frederick managed to catch just one bass in two days of competition at that tournament and finished in 169th – last place. On Sunday, Frederick redeemed himself by catching a five-bass limit weighing 19 pounds, 14 ounces, to earn the win the FLW Tour at Lake Okeechobee presented by Evinrude.

Leesburg Pro Brings 15-ounce Lead into Final Day
(Jan 27, 2018 - Clewiston, FL) Pro Tim Frederick of Leesburg, Florida, caught two kicker largemouth Saturday – a 6- and 7-pounder – to anchor his 23-pound, 3-ounce limit and jump to the top of the leaderboard after Day Three of the FLW Tour at Lake Okeechobee presented by Evinrude. Frederick’s five-bass limit was the only bag Saturday that weighed in excess of 20 pounds, telling when you consider that the lake had pumped out 16, 20+ pound limits in the first two days of competition.

For his efforts, Powers earned $4,373 and one of the final entries into the 2018 BFL All-American Championship.

Boater Bradford Beavers of Ridgeville, South Carolina, caught five bass weighing 14 pounds, 15 ounces, Saturday – the only limit of the day – to win the Costa FLW Series Championship on Kentucky Lake with a three-day cumulative total of 15 bass weighing 45 pounds, 12 ounces. Beaver’s efforts earned him $50,200 and a slot in the 2018 Forrest Wood Cup - the world championship of professional bass fishing.

Foster’s two-day total of nine bass weighing 33-6 gives him a slim 1-pound, 13-ounce, advantage over second-place boater Larry Stoafer of Leavenworth, Kansas, heading into the third and final day of competition.

(Oct 23, 2017 - ) It was a beautiful weekend to be on the water. The fish were biting for most and the weather was as close to perfect as it could be. Sunny skies and temps in the high 80's. Take off both Saturday and Sunday was 6:50am. We played the National Anthem just before take off both days and no surprise that EVERY fishermen was standing with their hands over their hearts, proud to be Americans.
