North Carolina's Jones Wins Co-Angler Title, $25,000
(Feb. 10, 2013 - CLEWISTON, FL.) Twenty-four year-old rookie Drew Benton of Panama City, Fla., was fishing in his first event as a professional this week and caught a 7-pound kicker bass with only seven minutes to spare to win the Walmart FLW Tour on Lake Okeechobee presented by Mercury on Sunday.

North Carolina's Jones Continues To Pace Co-Anglers
(Feb. 08, 2013 - CLEWISTON, FL.) In the days leading up to the Walmart FLW Tour on Lake Okeechobee presented by Mercury, many pros lamented the tougher fishing conditions and most predicted that no one would break the 100-pound mark this year. Rick Cotten of Guntersville, Ala., ignored the dock talk and now leads a full field of 174 of the world's best bass-fishing pros in the four-day event that has competitors casting for a top cash award of up to $125,000.


North Carolina's Jones Leads Co-Anglers
(Feb. 07, 2013 - CLEWISTON, FL.) On the first cast of his pro fishing career Thursday morning, Casey Martin of New Market, Ala., boated a 6-pounder. His co-angler did not even have enough time to get the net ready. That cast gave Martin the momentum he needed throughout the day, as he now leads the Walmart FLW Tour on Lake Okeechobee presented by Mercury.

Hogg wins co-angler title
(Feb. 04, 2013 - JASPER, TX) Dicky Newberry of Houston, Texas, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 36 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday to win the Walmart Bass Fishing League Cowboy Division event on the Sam Rayburn Reservoir. For his victory, Newberry earned $6,541.


Southern Open
(Feb. 03, 2013 - KISSIMMEE, FL.) Rich Howes, 39, of Oviedo, Fla., is the winner of the 2013 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Southern Open on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes in Florida, but it wasn't easy, and it didn't happen fast. It took Howes four days to defeat fellow Floridian Daniel Lanier Jr. The two ended the tournament regulation days (three) in a tie with 47 pounds, 2 ounces apiece.

Howes leads 198 professionals with 32 pounds, 8 ounces going into the final round of the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Southern Open.

He wasn't wearing track shoes, but Daniel Lanier Jr. of Winter Springs, Fla., is running away from the rest of the field at the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Southern Open on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes in Central Florida. He leads 197 other pros with 27 pounds, 11 ounces.

This 1st event of 2013 was started as a trailoring event at 6:50 am after being postponed from January 13th for a very bad weather day. The weigh in time was conducted at 4:00 pm.

(Jan. 29, 2013 - KEY WEST, Florida Keys) A 56.44-pound kingfish catch earned the Unreel fishing team top honors at the Key West Harbour King Mackerel Tournament that ended Jan. 27.


(Jan. 29, 2013 - ISLAMORADA In-the-Florida Keys) A Canadian man and a local lady angler teamed up with five releases of sails to win Capt. Al Flutie's 24th Over-the-Hill Rip-Off Sailfish Tournament, Jan. 21-22, in a one day Atlantic Ocean catch and release fishing event, benefiting two Florida Keys charities.

The victory earned the club $2,000 and advanced the team to the FLW College Fishing Southern Conference Invitational tournament.


Gressett claims co-angler title
(Jan. 26, 2013 - Del Rio, TX.) Austin Terry of San Angelo, Texas, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 13 pounds, 13 ounces Saturday to win the EverStart Series Texas Division event on Lake Amistad with a three-day total of 15 bass weighing 59 pounds, 13 ounces. For his victory, Terry earned $34,915.

The victory earned the club $2,000 and advanced the team to the FLW College Fishing Western Conference Invitational tournament.

Farage wins co-angler title
(Jan. 21, 2013 - OROVILLE, CA.) Ryan Friend of Oroville, Calif., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 13 pounds even Saturday to win the EverStart Series Western Division event on Lake Oroville with a three-day total of 15 bass weighing 37 pounds, 5 ounces. For his victory, Friend earned $32,841 and a Ranger Z518 with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard motor.

(Jan. 18, 2013 - ISLAMORADA, Florida Keys) Lady anglers who fish the challenging Islamorada Women's Sailfish Tournament enjoy its competition, professionalism and camaraderie, but this year the event has even more meaning as it pairs with the Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys. The tournament is to take place Friday through Sunday, Feb. 8-10, to help raise money for cancer research.

For his victory, Todd earned $40,000.

(Jan. 12, 2013 - OKEECHOBEE, FL.) The Lincoln Memorial University team of Chris Hunt of Loudon, Tenn., and Kyle Warwick of Oak Ridge, Tenn. won the FLW College Fishing Southeastern Conference event on Lake Okeechobee Saturday with four bass weighing 17 pounds even.

(Jan. 04, 2013 - TAVARES, FL.) Zach Parker and Matthew Roberts of Bethel University lapped the majority of the field on Day 1 of the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series Southern Regional on the Harris Chain. They brought in a monster catch of 29-2 anchored by the Carhartt Big Bass of 9-11.

2012 FOM STREN Team Series South East Regional Championship
(Nov. 11, 2012 - Satsuma, AL) Brewton, Alabama residents, Donnie and Brian Moye, netted an additional 11.72 lbs today and seized the win at the 2012 FOM STREN Team Series, Tensaw Delta, South East Regional Championship that launched out of Mobile County (Dead Lake) River Delta Marina. Donnie and son, Brian, easily bested all competitors by nearly 5-pounds for their tournament total of 26.61, which included the Day 2, 2nd Big Fish at 3.83 lbs.

For the second time in his career and for the first time in FLW history pro Koby Kreiger won the EverStart Championship presented by Castrol on the Ouachita River on Sunday with a five bass limit that weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces. Kreiger of Okeechobee, Fla., had a four-day total of 20 bass that weighed 38 pounds, 5 ounces that earned him $50,000 plus a Ranger Z518 with an Evinrude or Mercury outboard motor and a berth in the 2013 Forrest Wood Cup.

(Nov. 03, 2012 - Monroe, LA.) Koby Kreiger of Okeechobee, Fla., held onto his lead by the narrowest of margins Saturday at the EverStart Championship presented by Castrol on the Ouachita River. Kreiger brought in a five-bass limit that weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces giving him a three-day total of 29-0, and an 8-ounce lead over second place Brandon Medlock of Lake Placid, Fla., who has a three-day total of 28-8.

Spinks jumps into lead in Co-Angler Division
(Nov. 02, 2012 - MONROE, LA.) Koby Kreiger of Okeechobee, Fla., took the lead Friday at the EverStart Championship presented by Castrol on the Ouachita River. Kreiger brought a five-bass limit to the scale on Friday that weighed 9-2 giving him a two-day total of 21-7, and a 1-pound, 14-ounce lead over second place James Stricklin Jr. of Texarkana, Texas.

Sward Leads Co-Anglers
(Nov. 01, 2012 - MONROE, LA.) EverStart pro James Stricklin Jr., of Texarkana, Texas, took the early lead at the EverStart Championship presented by Castrol with a five-bass limit that weighed 12 pounds, 13 ounces. Stricklin Jr., leads second-place angler Koby Kreiger of Okeechobee, Fla., by a mere 8 ounces in this four day tournament taking place on the Ouachita River.
