(May. 26, 2009 - Greers Ferry, AR)... Frank Leone and Jeremy Risley topped 41 teams fishing the 3rd Super Team event of 2009 by catching 5 bass that weighed 14.63 pounds. A passing cold front brought cold temperatures and clear skies to Greers Ferry Lake but that didn’t prevent 24 teams from bringing in their 5 bass limits. Here’s how the top three teams caught their fish:Jeremy and I had a great day on the water. We landed about 14 keepers and around 30 total fish. We caught our fish on Wiggle Warts, Jackall Muscle 10+ crankbaits, and JewelEakins Jigs (Missouri Craw; 5/16 oz; tipped with a Netbait paca chunk). A full account of our day will be posted in our ?In the Boat? Column presented by Jewel Bait Company on Monday evening.
Chris usually fishes with Fred Martin but had to go it alone during this event. He caught his fish on a Green Pumpkin Tube and a Brown Jig. His sack included the day’s big bass, a 4.10 pound ?Potbellied Stallion? which earned him an additional $740.00
Tracy and Dennis fished JewelEakins’ Jigs (Black/Blue; 7/16 oz.)and spinnerbaits to catch their fish. They reported catching 17 keepers on the day.
