(Mar. 25, 2009 - Cedar Creek Lake, TX)... Cedar Creek Reservoir was rocking and rolling by the time we weighed fish Sunday March 22nd. We had a beautifully sunny day with mild temperatures and seasonally promised March winds. I think our couples got off the lake just in time- as the wind really picked up strength.
David and Katy Ginn came to the scales with a monster sack totalling 22.74 pounds. David didn’t feel very well to start the day-but I think he was feeling better when he hooked that nice 8.74 bass to take home Men’s big bass. David - we hope you feel better this week.
Greg and Julie Fleming finished second with 12.93 and a determined look to capture AOY honors again. We had another new couple take home the third place check- Drew Sloan and Paula Moore weighed in 3 nice fish for a total of 12.07. Drew had the second largest fish of the day with a 7.67 bass. Welcome to the gang. The ladies brought several nice fish to the scales and we had a tie for a little bit til Kay Anderson got up with her nice 4.55 bass to take home the check for Ladies Big Bass - way to go Kay!
Thanks to Jim and Kay for their very generous donations for door prizes. They provided the griddle and several tackle packs. Jim and Kay also got Kenny and Leslie Lively to come back and fish with us this year. Thanks to Cliff and Robbie forgetting the Richmonds to fish again and then to the Richmonds for inviting the Sloans to fish with us. We will enter these three couple in the drawing for 50 dollars. It’s not too late for you to get more couples involved with our division and get in the drawing- we will draw for this at Lake Tyler. Cliff and Robbie brought gift certificates from R&R Marine. Tyler Urgent Care sponsered our plaques again.
We look forward to seeing everyone at Cypress Springs on April 19th. We will go out of the public ramp by Tall Tree. We will not have early registration on Saturday- We will be at the marina Sunday morning at 5 am.
Until then - Set the Hook Hard!!!
