| (Sep. 12, 2007 - Waco, TX)... Eight-one teams showed up Sunday morning on Lake Waco for the first Tuff Man Tournament of the 2007-2008 series. The morning sun broke over a beautiful lake with light breezes giving little comfort in the stifling heat that built up as the day progressed. Fishing was tough due to a recent five foot rise in the lake level. The flood gates were open creating confusion for both the fish and the fishermen. Up river was too muddy to successfully fish. So most of the fish were taken on the main lake especially off the dam and known rocky points and structure. Rigged plastics and DD 22’s gave some of the best results. The standings are as follows: The top 12 teams have qualified for the Championship to be held January 12, 2008, with the weigh-in at the Bell County Expo Center during the Central Texas Boat Show. Teams 13 through 24 are leading the wildcard slots. The next tournament will be on Lake Limestone on October 21st.
