Lake Fork Reservoir is a 27,000 acre recreational lake with 300 miles of shoreline, it is within 5 miles of the town of Quitman. The reservoir was opened in the fall of 1980, and has since gained the reputation as one of the top bass fishing lakes in the nation, especially for big bass. Lake Fork offers the opportunity to catch the bass of a life-time, or even a new state record with every cast you make.
Year round activities available include visiting Gov. Hogg Shrine State Park and fishing, swimming, skiing, diving and camping at Lake Quitman.
