(Aug. 03, 2009 - Lake Shafer, IN)... Lake Shafer was the sight of the fifth season qualifier of 2009. 16 anglers showed up to secure a berth in the TVA classic coming up in October. With two events left, and the points race heating up , all the anglers had their game face on and ready to go.
In first place was Jeff Vandergraff of Monon,In. with 4 good fish weighing in 11.4 lbs. with 5.20 kicker. This was his third win of the season, and he is the current leader in the AOY race. In second was Fred Coleman of Lafayette,In. with a nice limit weighing 10.4 lbs. In third was Bill Kelly of Monticello,In. with 5 Good fish weighing in at 10lbs.
