(Apr. 01, 2009 - Lake Shafer, IN)... Seventeen anglers gathered at Big Monon Ramp for the first TVA event of the 2009 season. The lake was in pretty good shape, despite the flooding in the weeks previous to the event.
The only real issue for the anglers was floating debris and the usual cold front on tournament day.
Congratulations to Jeff Vandergraff of Monon, In. with a nice limit weighing 9.92. Jeff had a mixed bag of Smallmouth and Largemouth bass. In second, was Fuzzy Dunn of Crown Point, In. with another nice limit weighing in at 9.83. Fuzzy is the reigning 2008 Angler of the Year. Good job Fuzzy. In third, was Kyle Need with 3 fish that went 5.22. In fourth, was Dave Coffing with 2 fish at 3.62. The Big Bass honors went to Tim Rodenbarger with a fine Largemouth that weighed 3.04.
