(Jun. 18, 2008 - Lake Shafer, IN)... After nearly 4 inches of rain the evening before 18 TVA anglers launched boats into a muddy Lake Shafer for the seventh TVA Series event of 2008. Anytime lake conditions change twelve hours before tournament time it can make things interesting,and it did.
Congratulations to Fuzzy Dunn of Crown Point,In on his third win of the 2008 season. Fuzzy had 5 fish that weighed 13.05 with a 3.96 kicker that was also Big Bass of the event. In second was Frank Brown with a nice limit at 9.12. In third was Kyle Need with 4 fish at 8.23. Grabbing the last money spot was Jeff Vandergraff with 3 fish at 7.67.
With 2 events left the points race is on between Fuzzy Dunn and Jeff Vandergraff with Bill Kelly in third.
After this event we have 7 anglers qualified for the TVA Championship, but with 2 more events to go that number will increase. An angler in the TVA Series must have 350 points and fish a minimum of 5 events.
Our next event will be on Lake Freeman July 19 going out of Dodge Camp. Hope to see everyone there.
