(May. 19, 2008 - Lake Freeman,Monticello,IN.)... Our seventh event of the 2008 TVA series was held at Lake Freeman. After a short drawdown period for flood repair the lake was refilled and everyone wondered how it would fish today. Some predicted it would be our best tournament of 2008, some said otherwise.
At 3:30 PM the boats gathered at Dodge Camp and although there were no giant bags weighed today 10 out of 13 anglers weighed fish. All things considered with the weather this was the most fish weighed in a TVA event this year.
Congrats to Joe Castello and Kevin Hysong on the tie for first with 8.78. This is the first winning tie we have seen in the TVA series. Both anglers had 5 fish, all Smallmouth. In third was Dave Coffing with 4 fish at 6.99. Grabbing the last check was Bill Kelly with 4 fish at 6.20. Big Bass went to Jess Funston with a beautiful 3.42 largemouth.
