Rules & Regulations

  1. Jasper County, WRFP or LSRPA will not be responsible for damages to property or injuries to persons, which are incidental to the approved event. No cost associated to the event will occur to Jasper County, WRFP or LSRPA.

  2. Admission to view and participation in the event will be open to the general public without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, sex or age.

  3. Parking and crowd control must be strictly supervised to insure public safety during and immediately following the events.
  4. Adequate parking areas must be provided for both participants and spectators.

  5. The grounds will be cleaned and restored within 24 hours. No fish refuse or dead fish must be left on the park grounds or along its shoreline.

  6. The tournament must comply with the State of Texas freshwater fishing laws, including the release and/or consumption of those fish weighed in during the tournaments.

  7. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, U.S. Forest Service and all local law enforcement and emergency service officials must be notified of the events prior to the events.

  8. Tournament directors must be notified of the boat launch fee requirements on Sam Rayburn Reservoir, and instructed to notify participants of the fees and payment methods available. (Pending) A park operational expense fee of $1.00 per person or $2.00 per boat will be paid to the (LSRPA) by the event organization.

  9. Participants entered in the tournament must observe all state and federal boating laws and regulations.

  10. Security must be provided at the tournament site during the event by the event organization.

  11. Since no restroom facilities presently exist at the Pavilion, the permittee is required to furnish and service portable toilets at the ratio of 1 facility per every 100 participants and visitors. These will be provided for the duration of the event. These portable toilets can be obtained from LASSO PORTABLES, phone # 409-384-9724.

  12. As per paragraphs c. and d. above, the permittee will be required to furnish traffic and parking control at the WUFP and the adjacent boat ramp. This activity will be monitored by Sam Rayburn Project personnel to determine if additional or more specific controls are necessary to insure public safety, and access to public facilities.
