2002 FLW TOUR Preview 2002 FLW Tour Preview 01/01/2002 - Most of you who follow my career know that I have not participated in the FLW tournaments since 1997 when they incorporated a rule that would not allow me to wear my sponsors logos on clothing or hats. I want to do the best job I can for the companies I represent, so I choose to fish tournaments, like the Bassmaster Tour, that allow freedom in endorsement signage. Yamaha, one of my key sponsors, is now a sponsor of the FLW Tour. Yamaha has requested my participation in the 2002 FLW Tour to help promote the Yamaha brand in this new venue. Some unusually great opportunities exist in 2002 for Yamaha to grab some huge market share in the freshwater outboard market. My desire is to help Yamaha take advantage of these opportune circumstances in 2002. Yamahas' growth in the freshwater outboard market is exploding. If you are in the market for a new outboard, do yourself a favor check out the new Yamahas. You'll be glad you did. I am keeping the same schedule of tournaments as I have in past years, the BASS Tour and Central Opens, and I am simply adding the FLW Tour to my schedule.
