Special Olympics Illinois is a not-for-profit organization offering year-round training and competition in 19 sports for nearly 20,000 athletes ages 8 years and older with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Illinois offers its programs at no cost to the athletes or their families. Special Olympics programs enhance physical fitness, motor skills, self-confidence, social skills and encourage family support.
