Pearl River Singles Circuit | |

(Jul. 02, 2007)... This was our 5th tournament of the year and the 5th time the water has been extremely low on the Pearl River. We had limited options again with unaccessable water. Several anglers tried their luck on the canal that morning and the others looked for the main river as a starting point.
Toby Cooper had a 2nd and a 3rd finish earlier this year and as of Saturday he added a 1st to that list also! Toby found a very nice limit of mixed spots and largemouth to give him 10lbs 2ozs and his first win this year!
Ricky Kennedy just back from Red River fishing the BASS Central Open said he was glad to see a river that wasnt the so muddy you could walk across it!! Ricky had a limit that went 8lbs 3ozs and was good enough for 2nd place!! Looks like we are going to pass the hat around next tournament for Ricky’s boat repair fund got to keep them glass boats off the rocks Ricky!
Tony Cooper caught a limit very early and that was good enough to take 3rd with 8lbs 0zs! Steve Hadley has just taken over the lead for angler of the year with his 4th place finish of 7lbs 2ozs! David Seal finished 5th with 6lbs 10ozs as he had the last of only 5 limits weighed in!!
Great job guys another though tournament! Maybe next month we will have more water!! |
