Hunnybun does it again!

Page(s): 1
(Apr. 02, 2007 - Pearl River, MS)... With the Pearl River stage about 10 feet below normal for March there was quite a few questions left to be answered Saturday afternoon. The Pearl was as beautiful as it could be for March with almost a black tint, unlike the usual "yahoo" color it gets in the spring. I looked back to 1996 and the river has never been 8.5 feet this early in the year before. The low water kept several anglers confined to the Canal area unless you were brave enough to try and fight your way through the "log jam" where you would find more water and fewer anglers.

Several of the backwater areas would be inaccessable due to the low water. Mr. Wayne "Hunnybun" Palmer found the right combination as he set the mark Saturday with 10lbs 2ozs. After getting caught in the log jam earlier that morning Wayne’s luck turned for the better as he brought back a mixed bag of spotted and largemouth bass that he reported catching in several different areas. When it comes to a P.R.S.C. tournament in March Wayne has it figured out as he won the 2006 March tournament, great job Wayne.

Steve Hadley kept close by and had a good limit early Saturday morning as he put 9lbs 9ozs on the scales for second place. Tommy Adams finished third as a costly penalty for two dead fish moved him out of the second place slot, but Tommy can’t be too disappointed because he just took the lead for Angler of the Year by almost 2 lbs. Great job guys this was a tough tournament.

1st Big Bass award goes to David Seal with 4.00.0 lbs. Larry Mixon had 2nd Big Bass award with 3.15.5 lbs that’s close as it can get!

WE HAVE MOVED THE APRIL 28TH TOURNAMENT TOO APRIL 21ST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
