(Mar. 12, 2007)... What a beautiful day we had to start off the 2007 season. The first P.R.S.C. tournament drew a total of twenty boats with all looking for the stringer that would put them on top at the days end. Several anglers thought that the largemouth bite was going to be hard to find with the spotted bass pretty plentiful. The weather had been around the 70 degree mark all week prior and this had pushed the largemouth to the beds. But as always someone will find some fish willing to bite.
Mr. Barry Parker did just that as he pushed the scales the highest mark Saturday evening weighing in 12 lbs 11.0 ozs. Barry fished the FLW Redfish tour Thursday and Friday of which they lead day one, so in limited time to get ready to fish with us Saturday he didn’t have time to change lures until after blast off. Or who knows he might not have changed them at all!?!?!? Tommy Adams needed one or two more drops of water to make it a little closer!! One half of an ounce seperated first from second as Tommy weighed in 12 lbs. 10.5 ozs. That’s as close as it can get.
What would a P.R.S.C. Tournament be without a Cooper finishing around the top? This week it was Toby Cooper with a very nice stringer for a third place finish with 12 lbs. 5.5ozs. Brandon Sheridan finished in forth place with a beautiful stringer of those mean Pearl River spotted bass. We had 18 limits brought to the scales of the 20 entries. Barry Parker had 1st big bass with 4 lbs 9 ozs and Tommy Adams had 2nd big bass with 4 lbs 2 ozs.
Great job guys and keep in mind we will have TWO tournaments in March this year!! NEXT Tournament will be March 31st!! We will be looking for a better turnout next tournament so don’t forget to send those entries in early!!! |
