FLW Tour First Stop On The FLW Tour Slated For The Red River
2009 Angler of the Year Clark Wendlandt Heads-Up a Star Powered Field of the Nation’s Top Anglers by Julie Huber, (Jan. 27, 2010, Shreveport, LA) The FLW Tour will visit the Red River in Shreveport, La., Feb. 10-13 for the first stop in 2010. Hosted by the Shreveport Regional Sports Authority, the tournament will feature as many as 300 top bass anglers casting for top awards of up to $125,000 cash in the Pro Division and up to $25,000 cash in the Co-angler Division.

Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept. Winter rainbow trout fishing offers entry-level fishing opportunities for Texans
by Tom Harvey, TPWD Staff (Nov. 18, 2009, Austin, TX) For Texans in search of convenient fishing, it doesn’t get much better than winter trout season in Texas.
From December through mid-March, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will stock more than 270,000 hatchery-reared rainbow trout at 120 sites across the state.

Virginia Tech showing strength of Hokie colors; teams sit in first and second place going in to final day of competition by Julie Huber, (Nov. 08, 2009, Davidson, NC) The Virginia Tech team of Andrew Blevins of Pulaski, Va., and Carson Rejzer of Hampton, Va., jumped in to first place overtaking fellow Virginia Tech teammates Charlie Machek and Scott Wiley both of Midlothian, Va. at the National Guard FLW College Fishing Northern Division Regional championship on Lake Norman Sunday with six bass weighing 9 pounds, 7 ounces for a two-day total of 12 bass weighing 18-5.
