Winter rainbow trout fishing offers entry-level fishing opportunities for Texans

(Nov. 18, 2009, Austin, TX) For Texans in search of convenient fishing, it doesn’t get much better than winter trout season in Texas.
From December through mid-March, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will stock more than 270,000 hatchery-reared rainbow trout at 120 sites across the state.

(Nov. 08, 2009, Davidson, NC) The Virginia Tech team of Andrew Blevins of Pulaski, Va., and Carson Rejzer of Hampton, Va., jumped in to first place overtaking fellow Virginia Tech teammates Charlie Machek and Scott Wiley both of Midlothian, Va. at the National Guard FLW College Fishing Northern Division Regional championship on Lake Norman Sunday with six bass weighing 9 pounds, 7 ounces for a two-day total of 12 bass weighing 18-5.
