(Feb. 11, 2013 - Lake Livingston Onalaska, Tx)...

Anglers Quest 2013 Livingston Saturday Team Series #2 out of Kickapoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, Tx began this event with 102 teamed anglers showing up to fish for the $8700.00 purse. Any team entering 6 of the 8 Livingston Saturday Series events will automatically qualify for the 2-day Livingston Championship. The top team in points after the series will be declared the Team Anglers of the Year and will be awarded free entries to all 2014 Livingston Saturday Series events. The teams entering all 8 Livingston Saturday series events will automatically qualify for all 3 of the Lake Series 2-day Championships. Any team qualifying for any A/Q Championship will be allowed to enter the "Tournament of Champions" on October 23-27 at Toledo Bend.

The Livingston events are all trailoring events, this event started at 6:40 am. Livingston water was in good shape and 6" above normal pool level with water temps running 61-64 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 46 degrees with a warming to 66 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was real decent on Livingston today as there were 38 limits brought to the scales, for a total of 212 bass at 629.28 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.96 lb.

The team of Dean Coleman from Humble, Tx & Jim Guzman from Coldspring, Tx run Jim’s Ranger/Mercury bass rig to Pennwaugh & south lake creek areas to catch their bass throwing Tx-rigs & jigs in 1-5 ft of water. They managed to catch several keepers to finish with 20.70 lbs. They also had the Big Bass of the event, a really fine 6.63 lber. This win & Big Bass made them $2750.00 for their day on the water.

The team of Billy Driggers & Dale Driggers from Riverside, Tx run their bass rig to the Kickapoo Creek area to finish in 2nd with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 19.49 lbs. They had a limit in the boat by 9 am and then culled many more times throughout the day. Their day on the lake paid back $1250.00 for their efforts.

The team of Todd Hughes from Goodrich, Tx & Craig Morris from Crosby, Tx run their bass rig to main lake creek areas to finish in 3rd with 15.15 lbs with a Big Bass kicker of 6.24 lbs and collected $1150.00.

The Team of Todd Hughes from Goodrich, Tx & Craig Morris from Crosby, Tx run their bass rig to south main lake creeks to catch their bass throwing Tx-rigs & jigs in 2-10 ft of water. They managed to catch several keepers to finish in 3rd with 19.26 lbs and collected $900.00 for their day on the water.

Mark Johnson from Onalaska, Tx & Joey Matthews from Crosby, Tx finished in 4th with 19.12 lbs and collected $800.00. The team of Joey Reynolds & David Driskell from Grapeland, Tx run their bass rig to mid main lake areas to finish in 5th with 18.93 lbs and collected $700.00. The Martel Welding Works team of Rodney Martel & Scott Stephens finished in a tie for 6th with Tommy Shugart & Curtis Jordan with 18.23 lbs and took home $550.00 each. The team of Jason Stovall & Donnie Luker finished in the 1st place out of the money with 16.42 lbs and won the 2 $15.00 Buster McNuttys gift cards and the 2 Martel’s Welding Works $50.00 off Gift Certificates towards the purchase of a Rhino Bed Liner. Anglers Quest will be back at The Umphrey Pavilion on Sam Rayburn on February 23rd & 24th for the 3rd of 8 Sam Rayburn Saturday & Individual Series events. On March 9th Anglers Quest will be back at Lake Livingston for the 3rd of 8 Saturday Series events.

**NOTE** Anglers Quest in an effort to increase entries in the Individual Series events on Lake Livingston & Lake Houston has switched the dates of the 2 series events to make the Individual events not fall on the same weekend as the Team events. The 6 remaining Livingston Individual events will be on March 17-April 21-May 26-June 23-July 21-August 18. The 6 remaining Houston Individual events will be on March 10-April 14-May 19-June 9-July 14-August 4. We do hope this change does not cause anyone any inconvenience...we are trying to make these 2 series better for you and A/Q.
