Anglers Quest 2012 Livingston Individual 1st Series #1 out of Kickapoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, Tx began this event with 24 anglers showing up to fish for the $1500.00 purse. This 1st event of 2013 was started as a trailoring event at 6:50 am after being postponed from January 13th for a very bad weather day. The weigh in time was conducted at 4:00 pm. Any Individual entering 6 of the 8 Livingston Individual Series events will automatically qualify for the 2-day Livingston Championship. The top Individual in points after both series will be declared the Angler of the Year and will be awarded free entries to all 2014 Livingston Individual Series events. The Individuals entering all 8 Livingston Individual series events will automatically qualify for all 3 of the Lakes Individual Series 2-day Championships. Any Individual qualifying for any A/Q Championship will be allowed to enter the "Tournament of Champions" on October 23-27 at Toledo Bend.
NOTE: A Long time resident and an outstanding individual in the Livingston community, Eugene West passed away on January 26th in his sleep from complications with pneumonia. Services will be held at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, Tx on Hwy 190 at 10 am on January 30th. RIP our good buddy!
Livingston water was in good shape and 10" above normal pool level with water temps running 60-63 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 56 degrees with a warming to 77 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was good on Livingston today as there were 12 limits brought to the scales for a total of 78 bass at 214.19 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.74 lb.
Randy Valderez from Livingston, Tx ran his bass rig to Kickapoo creek areas to catch his bass throwing small cranks in 1-5 ft of water. Randy managed to catch 9 keepers to finish in 1st place with 19.60 lbs and made himself $750.00 for his day on the water.
Donnie Luker from Cleveland, Tx ran his bass rig to Kickapoo creek areas to catch his bass throwing tx rigged worms & small cranks in 1-10 ft of water. Donnie managed to catch 9 keepers to finish in 2nd place with 16.04 lbs and made him $350.00 for his day on the water.
Jason Stovall from Conroe, Tx finished his day in 3rd with 5 bass at 14.06 lbs and received $180.00 for his day on the water. Chris DiBerardino from Huffman, Tx brought in 5 bass at 14.03 lbs and collectedthe $15.00 Buster McNuttys gift card & the Martel’s Welding Works $50.00 gift card towards the purchase of a Rhino Bed Liner.
