Anglers Quest 2013 Livingston Saturday 1st Series #1 out of Kickapoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, Tx began this event with 74 teamed anglers showing up to fish for the $6265.00 purse. Any team entering 6 of the 8 Livingston Saturday Series events will automatically qualify for the 2-day Livingston Championship. The top team in points after the series will be declared the Team Anglers of the Year and will be awarded free entries to all 2014 Livingston Saturday Series events. The teams entering all 8 Livingston Saturday series events will automatically qualify for all 3 of the Lake Series 2-day Championships. Any team qualifying for any A/Q Championship will be allowed to enter the "Tournament of Champions" on October 23-27 at Toledo Bend.
The Livingston events are all trailoring events, this event started at 6:55 am. Livingston water was in good shape and 8" above normal pool level with water temps ranning 55-58 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 72 degrees with a warming to 75 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was real decent on Livingston today as there were 19 limits brought to the scales, for a total of 122 bass at 305.25 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.50 lb.
The AOY "Big Dogs Team" of Larry Jenkins & Dale Hill from Livingston, Tx ran their Ranger/Mercury bass rig to Pennwaugh creek to catch their bass throwing Tx-rigs & jigs in 1-5 ft of water. They managed to catch several keepers also in other areas to finish with 16.30 lbs. This win made them $2100.00 for their day on the water.
The team of Jason Stovall from Conroe, Tx & Donnie Luker from Cleveland, Tx ran their Triton/Mercury bass rig to Kickapoo Creek area to finish in 2nd with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 15.67 lbs. They had a limit in the boat by noon and then culled 2 more times throughout the day. Their day on the lake paid back $1400.00 for their efforts.
The team of Weston Bryant from Humble, Tx & Matthew Carter from Splendora, Tx their bass rig to main lake creek areas to finish in 3rd with 15.15 lbs with a Big Bass kicker of 6.24 lbs and collected $1150.00.
The Team of Todd Hughes from Goodrich, Tx & Craig Morris from Crosby, Tx ran their bass rig to south main lake creeks to catch their bass throwing Tx-rigs & jigs in 2-10 ft of water. They managed to catch several keepers to finish in 4th with 14.93 lbs and collected $500.00 for their day on the water.
Billy Jordan & Roger Dousay finished in 5th with 14.91 lbs and collected $400.00. The Tri-County Construction team of Jeff Rood & Shane Campbell from Livingston, Tx ran Jeff’s Ranger/Mercury to south main lake areas to finish in 6th with 13.61 lbs and collected $300.00. The team of Mark Finch & Jake Brewer finished in 7th with 13,26 lbs. The team of Morgan Burton & Keith Phillips finished in the 1st place out of the money with 13.08 lbs and won the 2 $15.00 Buster McNuttys gift cards and the 2 Martel’s Welding Works $50.00 off Gift Certificates towards the purchase of a Rhino Bed Liner. The postponed January 13th Individual Livingston event will be done on January 27th at Kickapoo Bait & Tackle. On January 19th & 20th A/Q will be at Lake Houston Marina on Lake Houston for the 1st of 8 Houston Saturday Team & Individual Series events. Anglers Quest will be back at The Umphrey Pavilion on Sam Rayburn on February 2nd & 3rd for the 2nd of 8 Sam Rayburn Saturday & Individual Series events. On February 9th & 10th Anglers Quest will be back at Lake Livingston for the 2nd of 8 Saturday & Individual Series events. Anglers Quest still accepts Credit Cards.
