(Oct. 29, 2012 - Hot Springs, AR.)... The Championship for Arkansas’s Couples opened with Sunny cold conditions with temperatures in the low 40’s’. The 10 couples caught 72 fish weighing 112.43lbs with 12/5 fish limits over two days of fishing.
First were Dylan and Melinda Hays to weigh 10 bass at 19.17lbs to win the tournament and earn $1000. They use Xcalabur lipless and square bill crank baits. They also had day 1 lunker at 3.65 and earn an extra $100. By making the right buys they won an additional $800 from the Calcutta.
Second were Jeremy and Samantha Blaylock who used a sexy shad square bill crank to weigh 15.78 and earn $750.They had the largest string of the tournament on day one of 12.4 lbs.
Third were Eddie and Caren Lindley. They used a jig to earn them $500 for their tournament finish. They had a 4.38 lunker for day 2 big bass and an extra $100.
Fourth earning $250 were Evan Barns and Regan Moore with 14.74.
